Have you ever read a book that made you stop and think? I just did. And how many of you have applied the positive thinking and mind power theories in your life only to be frustrated. I know I have, and more than once.

Personally, I've encountered many people who admit they want to change, but are still controlled by a negative mindset: The type that traps a person right where they are, even if they are begging to make change. The difficulty most people have is in "how to" control their thoughts and beliefs to influence their subconscious minds.

The Motivator is a great little book. Not only will it raise your self-esteem and motivate, but change your mindset, your outlook, and your life!

Moore brings together real-life examples from business, as well as historical leaders, including his own techniques through a series of short essays. In a step-by-step process, readers will learn how to apply some of these concepts into their current lifestyle so easily, no one will even know. Readers will also learn how to draw on inner creativity, develop self-leadership, set goals, take risks, and sell ideas.

Making sure our goals are properly aligned with our passions only makes sense.

Whether you are self-employed, an employee, parent, student or business leader - by the time you finish reading The Motivator, you'll have a vision of a new and better you with a fulfilling future in all other areas of your life. Either way, if you want instant motivation, I highly recommend you read this book.

An Interview with Tim Moore

WHATS THE BOOK ABOUT:

It's about "people leading people."

WHERE DID I GROW UP...WAS READING / WRITING PART OF MY LIFE?

I grew up in an amazing university town--Mount Pleasant, Michiganwhere the university and community had a close relationship; and the expectation for scholarship ran high in the public and private systems. Today, Central
Michigan University is designated by Carnege as a national doctoral and research intensive university, and the public school system is nationally recognized. I was treated to an exceptional Honors English discipline that required extensive critical reading and expansive writing.

WHO WERE MY EARLIEST INFLUENCES AND WHY?

My father was both a teacher and a coach. The book is dedicated to him. He required me to learn how to learn. Along the way, virtually every teacher I had in the Mount Pleasant Public system was inspirational and fueled my
appetite to learn.

HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN WRITING?

Virtually since leaving college. I came away from school realizing how important the written-word, and have written countless articles, monographs, memoranda and such. Today, I write a weekly E-column. I have never written Fiction, but would enjoy the challenge.

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO THROW IN A TOWEL...GIVE IT ALL UP?

No.

WHAT IS THE HARDEST PART OF BEING A WRITER?

1. Time availability.

2. Being objective about one's own work.

DO I HAVE ANY HOBBIES?

Sailing, music (playing and listening), reading, and attending athletic events.

WHAT QUESTION ARE YOU ASKED MORE THAN ANY OTHER?

"How long did it take you to write the book?"

WHAT'S THE COOLEST THING A READER HAS EVER SAID TO YOU?

"After reading your book, I realized I need to change some things. Thanks to you, I will."

Many readers have commented on the actionable nature of this book.

AS A WRITER ARE YOU MORE PRONE OT OBSERVE THE THINGS AROUND
YOU THAN MOST PEOPLE?

I expect so. Each of us has what behaviorists refer to as our "reticular activation." That means that we have a net-like filter automatically created to filter out distractions and such. The problem is, most of us have been conditioned to close it so tight, we miss the nuances of life.

WHO ARE AUTHORS I CONSIDER TO BE "DON'T MISS?"

Pat Conroy, Herman Wouk, Anton Myrer

IF SOMEONE IS STARTING A CAREER AS A WRITER, WHAT WOULD BE A FIRST STEP?

Dreams can come true, buts good to first have one. Decide what you really want from writing--and if it begins with money, don't do it.

WHAT TYPES OF MOVIES DO I ENJOY?

Historical fiction.
